Most of these scholarships reoccur on an annual basis and tend to have similar requirements as well as opening and closing dates for their applications year after year. Review the scholarships below to start compiling a list of scholarships you can apply for next year.

The American Atheists awards the $1,000 O'Hair Scholarship and four $500 President's Scholarships to atheist students attending graduate, law, college,  university, or vocational school in the United States; you do not have to be a U.S. citizen to be awarded the scholarship, but you do have to attend a U.S.-based institution

For those intent on pursuing a career in the actuarial profession. Must have at least 1 birth parent who is a member of one of the following minority groups: Black/African American, Hispanic, Native North American, Pacific Islander. For HS seniors w/ a min. 3.0 GPA & a min. ACT math score of 28 or SAT math score of 600.

The Geoscience Inclusion, Diversity, Equality, and Accessibility (IDEA) Scholarship program encourages women from under-served communities to pursue an education and career in the Geosciences, or Earth Sciences. The scholarship provides up to $5000 in awards, annually, typically split between two or more undergraduate students, and matches them with AWG mentors to enhance their careers. It also includes a one-year, sponsored, AWG student membership.

($1,500-$7,000) - The community contribution scholarship is open to all high school students who have recognized a need or problem in their community and have determined a way to address the issue.

To help those with high financial need, Optimal is awarding a $2,000 community college scholarship.

To provide our judges with a true understanding of each applicant, he or she must answer two open-ended, personal, and thought-provoking questions. The students whose responses are the most persuasive, compelling, and well-written, as judged by our panel, will be considered finalists.

Applicants for this scholarship should be enrolled at a public community college, junior college, technical college, or city college, and working towards a certificate, diploma, or degree at the associate’s level or a first-time bachelor’s level.

($2,500-$100,000) - Tell us how you'll change the world in 350 characters or less. Rally your friends to vote. Once you reach 50 votes, submit a video to inspire more fans. Dr. Pepper selects finalists to compete during throw-offs at college football conference championship games.

  • Provides scholarships to youth who have experienced homelessness to ensure their completion of a post-secondary education program.
  • Assists youth with financial aid processes, mental health advocacy and referrals, professional legal advocacy and referrals, and assistance in locating and establishing local contacts for general support and services.
  • $2,000 scholarship award ($1,000 for the 1st year, $1,000 for the 2nd year of college).
  • Undocumented students who meet these criteria are eligible.

Selected students who are studying computer science will receive a $10,000 scholarship.

Recipients of the 2020 Google Lime Scholarship will each receive a scholarship for the 2020-2021 academic year. Selected students will also be invited to attend the annual Google Scholars' Retreat at the Googleplex in Mountain View, California, in Summer 2020. Candidates will also be considered for software engineering internship opportunities with Google.  Scholarships will be awarded based on the strength of candidates' academic background and a demonstrated passion for computer science - $10,000 for those studying in the US and $5,000 for those studying in Canada (based on tuition costs).

($2,500-$25,000) - This award is available for U.S. high school seniors who plan to enroll in an accredited two- or four-year college or university for the upcoming school year. Students must submit a detailed essay that describes one outstanding, non-academic achievement they have accomplished. 

$1,000 - The Dirk Derrick Car & Truck Accident Injury Scholarship is an award for any current or soon-to-be undergraduate student in the United States who has had their life altered due to an injury from a car or truck accident, be it their injury that of a loved one, or an influential individual. The Dirk Derrick Scholarship has a quick submission process. Applicants will be judged on their ability to convey an auto accident's lasting effect on their life and their journey to overcome those challenges.
