The National Council for Community and Education Partnerships (NCCEP), the voice of GEAR UP in Washington, DC, bestowed the 2013 Champion for Student Success Award on Senator Patty Murray (WA) in recognition of her continued commitment and leadership in education for minority, low-income and disadvantaged students.
