02/01/2020 Jackie Robinson Foundation Scholarship Award

($28,000) - The JRF scholarship is awarded to outstanding high school graduates who plan to earn a baccalaureate degree from an accredited four-year college or university. Additional fellowships are given to JRF Scholars to pursue opportunities to work and study abroad, and for post-graduate education.

02/01/2020 EngineerGirl Essay Contest

This essay contest is for HS  students – men & women – in grades 3 thru 12 (ages 8-18). To apply, applicants must write an original essay on a given topic related to engineering.

Winners in each grade category will receive the prizes listed below:

  • First-place winners will be awarded $500.
  • Second-place entries will be awarded $250.
  • Third-place entries will be awarded $100.
02/01/2020 John F. & Anna Lee Stacey Scholarship Fund for Art Education

($500-$5,000) - For students ages 18 -35, pursuing a profession in visual arts & be skilled & devoted to the classical or conservative tradition.

02/06/2020 Lt. Governor’s Washington World Fellowship

For 10th grade students, includes a six-week study abroad experience in Spain. When students return home, they participate in two years of rigorous college preparation, including SAT and ACT test support, and have access to a number of unique leadership opportunities. Must be nominated by a teacher or counselor and submit an application.

02/06/2020 Washington Opportunity Scholarship - Baccalaureate

The Washington State Opportunity Scholarship (WSOS) supports low- and middle-income students pursuing eligible high-demand majors in science, technology, engineering, math (STEM) or health care and encourages recipients to work in Washington state once they complete their degrees.

02/15/2020 Nicholas A. Virgilio Memorial Haiku Competition

For 7-12 graders. Must submit up to 3 haiku poems. All haiku must be previously unpublished, original work, & not entered in any other contest or submitted elsewhere for publication. $50. 

02/17/2020 Princeton Summer Journalism Program

Free residential journalism and college preparatory program for high-achieving current juniors from low-income backgrounds interested in journalism. All program expenses, including meals, housing, and transportation covered. 

02/18/2020 The Christophers’ Poster Contest

Open to 9-12 graders. Must create an original poster that interprets the theme “One Person Can Make a Difference,” & illustrates the idea that one person can change the world for the better. $100-$1,000.

02/20/2020 Vegetarian Resource Group Scholarship 

One award of $10,000 and two awards of $5,000 will be given to graduating U.S. high school students who have promoted vegetarianism in their schools and/or communities. Vegetarians do not eat meat, fish, or fowl. Vegans are vegetarians who do not use other animal products such as dairy or eggs.

02/20/2020 Gordon A. Rich Memorial Scholarship

Must have a parent or legal guardian who has a full-time career in the financial services industry. $12,500 renewable for 4 years. 

02/27/2020 TheDream.US - National Scholarship

For DREAMers w/ DACA. Covers tuition & fees up to $14,500 for an AA & $29,000 for a BA at one of our Partner Colleges (EWU &UW). Renewable each year.

02/28/2020 Association of Computer Professionals in Education (ACPE) Scholarship

($2,500) - These scholarships are available to graduating high school seniors who have been actively involved in the use of technology during their high school careers and are planning to pursue studies in a technology-related field. 

02/29/2020 College Board Opportunity Scholarships

03/01/2020 Tall Clubs International Student Scholarships

Scholarships are for students under 21 years of age, about to attend their first year of higher education, and who meet the height requirements of TCI— 5' 10" (178 cm) for women, and 6' 2" (188 cm) for men.  Annually,  TCI Foundation awards multiple student scholarship(s) of up to $1000 each.  You must request an application no later than February 1.

03/01/2020 Washington State PTA Scholarship

Washington State PTA offers three (3) $3,000 scholarships and one (1) $1,000 scholarship to graduating seniors, from Washington State public high schools with an active PTA, that will be starting college (either 2-year or 4-year) in the Fall.
